What to look out for when using TFT LCD screen?

The most basic LCD screen, an LED backlight plate, a PCB board, and lastly an iron frame make up a TFT LCD module.TFT modules must adjust to the challenging all-weather environment because they are frequently used outdoors as well. So, what issues are being attended to on the LCD screen? When the necessary information is available, Disen will briefly describe how to use a liquid crystal module below.

1. Liquid crystal displays (LCDs) ought to forbid the use of DC voltage:

The driving voltage's DC component should be as low as possible. The highest is 50mV at most.Electrolysis and electrode aging will take place if the DC component is too large for an extended period of time, lowering the life.

2.Liquid crystal display (LCD) should prevent ultraviolet irradiation:

Since liquid crystal and polarizer are organic materials that will deteriorate when exposed to UV radiation, LCD device assembly should take into account the environment in which it will be used to determine whether a UV filter or other UV prevention method should be installed in front of the LCD device. Long periods of time in direct sunlight should also be avoided.

3. Hazardous gas erosion should be prevented by liquid crystal displays (LCD):

Liquid crystal and polarizers are made of organic material, which is subject to chemical reaction and deterioration in the presence of harmful gases. As a result, precautions should be taken to isolate harmful gases while in use. In addition, once the machine has been assembled, it should not be kept in a sealed environment for an extended period of time to avoid damage to the liquid crystal and polarizers from excessive chemical gas concentrations present in the plastic shell and circuit board cleaning agent.

The two pieces of glass that make up a liquid crystal display device are incredibly thin—only 5–10 um—between them.Additionally, the glass has a layer of directional film covering its inner surface, making it vulnerable to destruction. As a result, we also need to pay attention to the following:

The liquid crystal device's surface cannot exert too much pressure without damaging the directional layer. The gadget must stand for an hour before turning on if the pressure is too high or it was manually squeezed during assembly.

Don't forget to avoid sudden temperature swings when turning on the power.

Devices should only be pressed on their edges, never in the middle, and not with enough force to cause them to tilt.

It must be stored and utilized within the prescribed temperature range since the liquid crystal state will vanish above a certain temperature range. The display surface turns black and the liquid crystal state vanishes due to an excessively high temperature. At this point, do not turn on the power because the temperature will return to normal after a reduction. The liquid crystals start to freeze at too low a temperature, resulting in long-lasting damage.Additionally, if the LCD is vibrated or shocked, or held at the limit temperature for an extended period of time, bubbles will form.

4. Prevent glass breakage:

Because the display device is made of glass, the glass will undoubtedly break if it falls, thus the filter installation method and the assembly's resilience to vibration and impact must be checked during the machine's overall design.

5. Devices resistant to moisture:

Because liquid crystal display devices use low voltage and very little power, the resistance of liquid crystal materials is quite high (up to 1X1010 or more). Therefore, the machine's design must take moisture-proofing into consideration since the humidity created by the conductive surface of the glass may cause the device in the display to "string" between portions.Typically, aim for 5–30°C temperatures and 65% humidity levels.

6.Avoid static electricity:

Because the control and drive voltage in the module is so low, the micropower CMOS circuit is easily damaged by static electricity. Because the human body can occasionally produce up to tens or hundreds of volts of static electricity, extreme caution must be taken during assembly, operation, and use, as well as strict anti-static electricity.

Avoid touching the metal frame, circuit board above the circuit, or outside lead with your hand. The electric equipment used for assembly and the soldering iron must be securely linked to the ground to prevent electrical leakage. When the air is dry, static electricity can also be generated.

7.Cleaning a liquid crystal display device:

Because the liquid crystal surface is made of plastic and has a reflector, assembly and storage should be done carefully to prevent scratches and dirt.Additionally, the front polarizer has a protective film that may be removed when in use.
